Where do the tours depart from?
All SailTenerife tours depart from Marina San Miguel, Urbanización Amarilla Golf, S/N, 38639 San Miguel de Abona — on Tenerife's south coast, about 10 minutes from Tenerife South Airport. The exact meeting point and any final details will be confirmed in your booking confirmation.
What is included in a SailTenerife tour?
All small group tours and private charters include a welcome drink on arrival, tapas served on board, drinking water throughout, snorkelling equipment, SUP boards when available, and the full attention of Skipper Sebas and Hostess Mila. Additional drinks such as beer or cocktails can be purchased on board. The Premium Escape additionally includes champagne, a private chef, a gourmet lunch and a Seabob.
How many guests are on each tour?
Small group tours are limited to a maximum of 12 guests — we deliberately keep group sizes small so the experience always feels personal and relaxed. Private charters accommodate up to 12 guests as well. The Premium Escape is capped at 10 guests to maintain the highest level of service.
What catamaran do you use?
We sail aboard a Fountaine Pajot Isla 40 — a modern sailing catamaran chosen for its exceptional stability, generous deck space and true sailing elegance. It is regularly maintained to the highest safety standards.
Can I book the entire catamaran privately?
Yes — all of our experiences are available as private charters. If you want the boat exclusively for your group, simply select the Private Charter option or contact us directly. The Premium Escape is always private by design.
What is the cancellation policy?
Full payment is due at the time of booking. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before departure receive a full refund. Cancellations made 24–48 hours before departure receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before departure are non-refundable.
Do you operate in bad weather?
Guest safety is our absolute priority. If weather conditions make sailing unsafe or uncomfortable, we will contact you as early as possible to offer a reschedule to another available date, or a full refund. We never sail in conditions that compromise safety.
Is SailTenerife suitable for children?
Yes, we are very family-friendly. Children of all ages are welcome aboard when accompanied by a parent or guardian. We carry life jackets in all sizes. The catamaran's stability makes it a comfortable experience even for very young guests.
Will we see dolphins or whales?
This is not a dedicated whale- or dolphin-watching tour and we never guarantee sightings — but Tenerife's south coast waters are home to dolphins and whales, and it's not uncommon to spot them along the way. Any sighting is a bonus, never the plan.
Do you offer tours in Spanish?
Yes. Our crew — Skipper Sebas and Hostess Mila — speak English and Spanish fluently. Tours are conducted in the language that suits your group best.
